# Minting and Burning

**Minting:**

1. Visit [Metera's Testnet](https://test.meteraprotocol.io/).
2. Visit our [Testnet Faucet](https://app.gitbook.com/o/tqBCh9rx3HFdpcIloWvD/s/2sPi0XQREFojpVxoBRON/~/changes/150/content/how-does-the-metera-protocol-v.1-works/testnet/minting-and-burning/faucet) and mint test assets.
   1. Due to high traffic the faucet might fail. Please give it some time and sorry for any inconvenience.
3. Navigate to your preferred MTK
4. Click on 'Swap'
5. Insert the ADA amount you'd like to participate in the MTK with.&#x20;
   1. You will not be depositing ADA in this transaction.
   2. The inputted ADA amount will determine how much of each asset you need to deposit.
6. Review the amount of tokens to deposit and make sure you have enough of each asset to continue.&#x20;
7. Review fees
8. If you agree with the transaction click on 'Swap'
9. Sign the transaction and wait for your assets.&#x20;
10. You can review the status of your order in the 'Orders' page.&#x20;

**Burning:**

In order to burn your MTKs, you don't need to go through the Faucet.&#x20;

1. Navigate to your preferred MTK
2. Swap the order of ADA -> MTK

3. Insert the amount of MTKs you'd like to sell.
4. Review the assets you will receive
5. Review Fees
6. Click on 'Swap' and proceed to the Order Summary
7. Sign the transaction and wait for your assets.&#x20;
8. You can review the status of your order on the 'Orders' page.&#x20;
